To start this meeting off, we discussed the designs we had been working on for the past few days. We all agreed that The Girls should match in makeup, but have different hairstyles. This is because they come as a three in the theatre performance, but they still need to be distinguishable to the audience. We had all decided as a team The Girls makeup will consist of brown eyeshadow, dropped eyeliner (underneath the eye to make them appear bigger) and a red lip.
We then collaborated on discussing the character Audrey. For Audrey, we had all agreed on creating a brown eyeshadow look with a red lip. However, this makeup will be darker in comparison to the girls as we don’t want them looking the same. During the first act of the performance, Audrey also sports a black eye; this will be applied both around the eye and further onto the cheek bone to make it stand out under the theatre lights and to the audience.
Once we had finished discussing the designs for The Girls and Audrey, we moved onto practicing the makeup for The Girls, Audrey and Audrey Two.
To begin with, I decided to practice some straight male makeup, which can be seen in the images above. I did this as, since I was going to be practicing the makeup for Audrey Two, I needed a female model; however, everyone was busy practicing, or being practiced on already so I had to wait before I could do this.
Once I had finished this makeup, I gathered feedback. This shows good teamwork and collaboration as we all discussed the pros and cons to this makeup together.
Once I had gathered feedback, I had arranged to work on one of my peers (Charlotte) once she had finished the makeup she was practicing. This shows good communication skills as we had arranged a time to start the makeup, that way we both have time for a small break before we continue working.
The images above show the Audrey Two makeup I had planned on practicing. Once I had finished this, I had gathered feedback from everyone on what part of the makeup should be kept the same, and what needs improving. This shows good teamwork and collaboration skills as we all discussed this makeup as a team, aiding in the progression.
The images above show how I practiced good health and safety whilst working. During this time, I made sure to keep my base organised and clean by having all of my brushes neatly placed on one side of the base, and all of the makeup I would be using was neatly arranged. I also made sure any and all bags are out of the way, chairs were tucked under, and tables were far enough away to give me space to move around the area I was working at.
