During this meeting, we discussed the completed schedule for the show. This included who will be available on which production days, what time we have to be there for, what time we will be starting the hair and the makeup, when the show starts and the estimated time of the interval.

We began by figuring out who will be available to work on which production days. On Thursday the 20th, Kassie, Emily, Leah, Isobel, Stephen, Paige, Eleanor, Francesca, Charlotte and myself will all be attending the first day. This then led us into who will be doing which makeup: Paige and I will be doing the makeup for Audrey Two, Francesca and Eleanor will be working together to do the hair, makeup and black eye for Audrey, Stephen will be doing the makeup for Seymour, Eleanor will be doing the hair and makeup for Orin, Kassie will be doing the hair and makeup for Mrs Luce, Isobel, Charlotte and Leah will be working together to do the hair and makeup for The Girls and Emily will be doing the hair, makeup and prosthetic nose for Mrs Mushnik.

On Friday the 21st (second and final night of the show), Kassie, Emily, Leah, Isobel, Stephen, Paige, Hannah, Amy and myself will be attending the second day of the production. This then led us into who will be doing which makeup: Paige and I will be doing the makeup for Audrey Two, Kassie will be doing the hair and makeup for Mrs Luce, Emily will be doing the hair, makeup and prosthetic nose for Mrs Mushnik, Leah and Isobel will be working on the makeup for The Girls, Stephen will be doing the hair and makeup for Orin and Seymour, Hannah and Amy will be working together to do the hair, makeup and black eye for Audrey.

This is important to know as if anyone is absent, we will be able to see when someone would be available to fill in for them.

We then moved on to discussing the time we needed to be there. On Thursday, we were expected to be there by 11am to be able to do the hair for the actors dress rehearsal. We had decided to only do the hair for the dress rehearsal rather than hair and makeup as we wanted to keep the makeup looking ‘fresh’ for the actual performance at 7pm. On Friday, we were expected to be there at 2:30pm to get both the hair and makeup done before the show at 7pm.

Then, we talked about the interval. We had approximately 15 minutes to apply any changes to the characters makeup before they got back to performing. This helped us get an idea of how we were going to apply the changes, and how much we could do in the space of 15 minutes. Paige and I were originally going to add rhinestones and glitter to the makeup as well as darken the contour and change the shape of the eyebrows, however, we decided that we will not have enough time to complete this and decided to stick to just using the rhinestones and glitter instead.

After that, we all practiced the makeup for each of the characters. Francesca, Isobel and Kassie worked on Hannah, Leah and Eleanor first, then switched places to make sure they all got some practice in. They did the makeup for The Girls. Stephen worked on himself to practice the makeup for the male characters. Paige and I had decided to work on ourselves to test out different ideas we had for the Audrey Two makeup.

As seen in the image above, Paige had decided to use green eyeliner, green eyebrows gradient to brown and a different lip shape.

As seen in the image above, I had decided to try out black eyeliner, brown eyebrows and a rounder lip shape.

Once we had completed this makeup, taken photos of it, and gathered feedback from our peers, we went to discuss these ideas with the director, Tom as well as what he envisions for Audrey Two..

He had agreed on brown eyebrows, green eyeliner and the lip shape shown in the makeup Paige had created. These all affect the makeup as we will need to make sure these changes work on the face of the actress. To do this, we created a design using a trace of the actors face to get a good idea on how to apply this makeup.

This shows teamwork, collaboration and contribution as Paige and I discussed all of our ideas with the director and created a design together to show how this makeup will work on the actresses face.
