For this meeting, we spent our time watching the first film adaption that came out for The Witches (that came out…). It was important for us to do this as it gives us a good idea of how many witches we will need to make bald caps for, how many characters we will be needing to design makeup for, how many wigs we will be needing, the difference in the witches appearance (for example, the grand high witch is much more glamorous compared to the other witches, therefore there will need to be a separate design for her). Therefore, using this information, we can plan in advance around each of these aspects.

We also spoke to Kelly about the ideas we had for the characters. This included: the mask for the Grand House Witch (would it only be covering the nose and the mouth, just the mouth, just the nose, full face or just the eyes and the nose?). This was important to know as the mask needed to be made as soon as possible since it will be a major part of the show. We decided we could do big ears and maybe some fur for the mice with a few whiskers and a nose painted on, we need 30 bald caps for the actors in total (for both night one and two as well as a few extra for backup). This is important for us to know as we will be able to come up with ideas on how we will be creating each of these ideas.
