 The witches production meeting 6:

For this meeting, we began by discussing what the mask for the Grand House Witch should be made of. 

We had two masks to choose from: a mask made of cardboard, and a mask made of plastic. Once we had compared the two, we had deduced that the cardboard mask was far too big for both of the actors that will be playing the Grand House Witch. However, when kassie and I went to go check with the actors and Kelly that the plastic mask would be more suitable to use, it was decided we would stick with that one.

We talked about using clay and paper mache as, since a plastic mask will be more suitable for these materials as they will be able to hold on the mask securely throughout both show nights. Paige had also decided to use thick elastic rather than regular string to make sure it’s durable enough to stay attached to the mask on the nights as well as stretches to fit both actors securely to avoid having to adjust it and risk not having the glue dry in time.

After that, we delegated tasks for everyone to do. Paige began working on the mask, Emily and Kassie kept working on the schedule, Francesca, Leah, Isobel and I got started on making more bald caps. We had decided to continue with these as it’s important for us to get these done immediately due to their importance for the show’s success.
