The Witches production meeting 8
The Witches production meeting 8:
14/10/2021
During this meeting, Francesca and I worked together to organise the completed bald caps into three different piles, which were then stored onto a makeup trolly: thick, thin and needing to be patched up. Lucky for us, there were more thick bald caps than thin, and only one that was faulty and needed to be fixed. This shows time management skills as we did this so that it would be easier on the nights to find a bald cap suitable for the actor you’re working on, saving time in the long run.
The image above shows the completed trolly with all the bald caps organised into each space.
We then moved onto discussing a contingency plan for one of the actors who could potentially be allergic to the latex/spirit gum we would need to use when applying the bald cap. I contributed the idea of slicking her hair back and painting it to match her skin colour. However, this could cause more problems as the paint could wear away after a short amount of time due to the heat coming from the theatre lights as well as her own body heat, which would ruin the look by exposing her natural hair colour. It could also come off when she takes off the wig, once again ruining the look.
