For this meeting, we had organised a time for some of the main character actors to come in so that we

have a chance to practice the makeup, just in case we need to make any changes beforehand. I

practice the makeup for the grandma. 

The images above show the completed hair and makeup for the grandma as well as how it looked from

the audience’s point of view during the rehearsal.

I’m glad I had the chance of practicing the makeup as, although it looked dark enough up close in the

makeup room, when I watched the rehearsal, the makeup wasn’t noticeable, even from the fourth row

back. Therefore, I made some notes on things to improve, this included: darkening the wrinkle lines,

giving myself extra time beforehand as I didn’t have enough time to put the white in her hair ready for

the rehearsal, add some mascara to open the eyes a bit, add more white underneath the wrinkles and

to add more wrinkles to make it more noticeable. I also decided to make myself a step by step guide of

which part of the makeup to do first to make sure I get it done within the amount of time I would have,

as well as to make sure the makeup will last throughout the show; as if I finish it too early, by the time

the show starts the makeup would be in the process of smudging due to natural facial oils.

Then, to finish off this meeting, we decided to make some more bald caps as we were still 9 under

what we needed for both days.
